TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — If you see the CASA booth at the Vigo County Fair, drop off any cans that you have.
Vigo County CASA is holding a can drive this week to raise money for the services they provide. The goal of this fundraiser is to collect at least 300,000 cans. This will add up to over $5,000 that will go to funding their programs.
There will be giveaways daily as part of the program. These will include a variety of prizes along with getting you tickets to the multiple raffles they will have throughout the week.
The person that donates the most cans throughout the week will receive the grand prize.
Glenna Cheesman, the Vigo County CASA Director, has a message for everyone in the Vigo County area.
“We are going to be doing daily giveaways, tickets, and things like that every single day. You can come and talk to the CASA and learn how to be a voice. This initiative allows everyone to be able to help the children in our community, one can at a time.”
The program will run through the week at the fair.
