TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Monday marks opening day of the rubber duck season in the Wabash Valley.
Terre Haute Catholic Charities is gearing up for this year’s Wabash Valley Rubber Duck Regatta.
On July 4, 12,000 rubber ducks will be released into the Wabash River for a race.
People can sponsor a duck in the race for just $5. The winner will get $10,000 and a chance to win $1 million.
The money raised will go toward fighting hunger, homelessness and insecurity in the Wabash Valley.
You can adopt your rubber duck weekdays now through July 3 at various locations, including Catholic Charities at 1801 Poplar Street.
