MATTOON, Ill. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 23-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison following his conviction in regards to child sex abuse material.
According to the Illinois State Police, Dayquan Slaughter, of Mattoon, pleaded guilty to four counts of the class X felony of possession, production, and dissemination of child pornography.
Slaughter was reportedly arrested following a search warrant served at his residence in Mattoon in December of last year. Illinois State Police and the Illinois Attorney General’s Office of Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigated.
On Monday, Slaughter reportedly entered his guilty plea and was sentenced to 25 years in the custody of the Illinois Department of Corrections.
