PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A robbery that resulted in the victim being flown to a hospital due to injury is being investigated by the Parke County Sheriff’s Office.
Law enforcement is asking the public to share any relevant information.
According to a release from Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, officers investigated a robbery around 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night on County Road 500 N., west of Bloomingdale.
The release notes that a suspect forced entry into the home of a 67-year-old man and that, “the suspect left the residence with an undisclosed amount of cash.” Police said the victim’s head and arm were injured during the incident.
The victim was then taken to the Parke County Fairgrounds where he was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis via helicopter. Police noted that the victim is in stable condition.
The release also said that Bloomingdale Fire Department and Indiana Conservation officers responded to the scene.
