TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— According to a release from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, they will be reopening the AskRose Homework Help.
AskRose Homework Help is a National Tutoring Association-certified program for middle and high school students to get help with STEM related homework from actual Rose-Hulman students. The program, which was establised in 1991, is available Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. throughout the school year. There are currently around 20 AskRose tutors, available to help through either the phone, email, or through chat. Spanish speaking AskRose tutors are also available on a varyied basis and their schedule is posted on their website.
“AskRose understands and emphasizes academic integrity and independent learning,” said Bernadette Ewen, Senior Director of Rose-Hulman’s Logan Library and Student Learning Resources. “Guiding the students through their challenges with patience, our tutors will take them step by step to help build confidence and develop critical thinking skills that go beyond the current assignment.”
AskRose also offers an online toolkit for educators to share resources for students and families and can be shipped or delivered with no cost while supplies last. The website also contains more than 500 videos and downloadable homework help materials.
Students do not have to report thier last names or phone numbers as well in an effort to protect student’s privacy and confidentiality.
