TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WAWV/WTWO) — Indiana State University and the City of Terre Haute announced a new partnership that will expand the work force opportunities for city workers.
The program is called the Preferred Partners Program. This program allows companies and organizations to strengthen their employee’s skill set through ISU.
Preferred partners will also receive several benefits including a 15% discount off in-state tuition rates, waived enrollment deposits, and also provide customizable educational offerings.
“It’s a way in which adult learners can engage, we have a lot of individuals even in the Wabash Valley area that have some college credits and no degree. And we want to be able to provide those synergies and partnerships with businesses and industries and government to be able to do that. We also have this agreement with the state of Indiana and a lot of other. So, were excited about continuing to do that,” said ISU President Mike Godard.
The City of Terre Haute joins a list of over 50 preferred partners, including the State of Indiana, Indianapolis Airport Authority, several statewide school corporations, and law enforcement agencies.
