BRAZIL, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — UPDATE: A release from the Brazil Police Department stated that Clay County Dispatch received a 911 call for a stabbing at around 9:30 p.m. and dispatched Brazil Police to the 200 block of East Kruzan Street. Officers were informed of a woman who had stabbed a man and fled the scene.
When officers arrived they found a 41-year-old man from Brazil had several stab wounds. The release states that medics from STAR ambulance arrived and began treating the man’s injuries before being transported to St.Vincent/Clay Hospital’s helipad before being flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for further treatment.
At around 9:35 p.m. Brazil officers located the 39-year-old suspect from Brazil in the 400 block of North Lambert Street. The woman also had injuries and was treated by STAR medics before being taken to Union Hospital in Terre Haute for further treatment.
Officials have yet to announce any charges at this time.
ORIGINAL: One person was airlifted to the hospital after a stabbing in Clay County Wednesday night.
Clay County dispatch confirmed a stabbing happened on Kruzan Street near the YMCA.
Dispatch confirmed a man was stabbed by a female subject at the scene.
The victim was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital for treatment.
