TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Indiana State University is getting ready to roll for its 100th Blue and White Parade this homecoming weekend.
The homecoming tradition takes place Saturday morning in downtown Terre Haute.
Student groups have been decorating golf carts that will be part of the parade.
ISU Dean of Students Dr. Heather Webb said you can feel the excitement in the air.
“One of the things that I really love about homecoming at Indiana State University is the involvement from our local community. It is just so exciting when that parade route heads up 9th Street and we turn, and we head down Wabash Avenue, and we see all of the community members and we see children, and just people coming out from every place to cheer on the Sycamores,” said Webb.
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday on 9th Street and Cherry Street. It will proceed west on Wabash Avenue and north on 5th Street.
