TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – Local college students who are also entrepeneurs got to share their businesses and products with the community during an event Thursday.
Indiana State University held the Students’ Small Business Market, showcasing the businesses of about 20 students.
Students sold products such as custom-made jewelry, original artwork and embroidered items.
John Lotz, the Assistant Director of Business Engagement at ISU, said the event has grown consistently over the years.
“It really says a lot about the entrepreneurial spirit of our students. That is something that we’ve really championed over the last couple of years and it really is reflected in the increased number of students who participate in events like this,” said Lotz.
He explained the Students’ Small Business Market is a semi-annual event.
