VINCENNES, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — WIN Energy REMC has announced three programs that are currently accepting offers, for youth in the community.
Scholarship Program:
Each year, WIN Energy REMC said they will provide a $1,000 scholarship to 10 high school seniors. To apply for the scholarship students are asked to submit an application and high school transcript to be considered. Applications will be accepted until February 21.
Youth Tour to Washington D.C.
In June of this year, WIN Energy said they will sponsor three students to go on the annual Indiana Youth Tour to Washington D.C. The three-week-long trip to the Nation’s Capital is for students entering their senior year in 2025. Students on the trip will get to visit monuments and museums, meet legislators and learn about the Nation’s Capital. Applications will be accepted until March 3.
Camp Kilowatt:
Three students, entering the 7th grade in 2025, will be sponsored by WIN Energy REMC to attend Camp Kilowatt at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, Indiana. The camp will be held this June, and participating students will have the opportunity to go horseback riding, canoeing, zip-lining, as well as participate in archery, swimming, learning about electrical safety, and
bucket truck rides. Applications will be accepted until March 3.
WIN Energy REMC said to qualify for these programs, the parent or legal guardian of the student must be a member of WIN Energy REMC.
