TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — After nearly two and a half years a dilapidated carwash in North Terre Haute is coming down.
According to Vigo County Commissioner, Chris Switzer, the work began Friday morning.
Switzer said, commissioners spent time in superior courts, had public hearings and sent letters to various individuals. He added that former commercial properties have become increasingly difficult to demolish.
The car wash is located at 5083 North Lafayette Avenue. Switzer said this demolition is the first of more than 70 structures to come down.
