TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)—Indiana State University’s Scott College of Business announced Thursday that they have received an extension on its accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
The extension of the accreditation reaffirms the university’s commitment to delivering a high-quality business program and highlights the efforts of the school’s faculty, staff, students, and partners. The accreditation from the AACSB is widely considered the highest achievement in business education. The AACSB awards the accreditation to less than 6% of the world’s business schools.
The accreditation standards are created to make sure students receive a relevant and impactful education to prepare graduates with the skills and knowledge to succeed. Indiana State University first received the accreditation in 1980 and has maintained it for over 40 years.
“This is wonderful news for Indiana State University,” said Dr. Terry Daugherty, Dean of the Scott College of Business. “The extension of our AACSB accreditation reflects the unwavering dedication and passion of our faculty, staff, students, and corporate partners. Over the course of this review cycle, we have supported more than 1,200 students in completing their business degrees—who are now better prepared to lead and succeed in a rapidly evolving global marketplace.”
