ROSEDALE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— A Tennessee woman was arrested in Parke County on Sunday in possession of black tar heroin.
According to a news release from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department, just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, Parke County Deputies were en route to a home in Rosedale, Indiana, for a follow-up investigation. When the deputies arrived at the home, one of the deputies made contact with two people of interest from a separate investigation that had occurred earlier that day.
The release then states that the deputy took the two into custody and awaited backup to assist. While waiting, the deputies performed a search of the individuals. A small make-up bag was found on 36-year-old Stacey Evans of Tazewell, Tennessee. The release states that the make-up bag contained a small baggie of what was later identified as black tar heroin. The deputies also located a small blue straw used to inhale intoxicants.
The release continues, stating that Evans was taken to Parke County Jail. When Evans arrived at the jail, a glass pipe was also found on her that she admitted to using to smoke methamphetamines. Evans is being charged with possession of heroin and possession of paraphernalia.
