SOLSBERRY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Indiana State Police are investigating the death of a Greene County infant.
The investigation began on Tuesday when detectives from ISP got a call from the Indiana Department of Child Services regarding an infant death in Greene County.
“The mother of the infant was identified as a minor,” officials wrote. “Crime Scene Investigators were also contacted and collected evidence at the hospital and the residence where the infant was born.”
They added that this is an active investigation, an autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death, and no further information will be released at this time.
