VERMILLION COUNTY, Ind. — Sunday was the second day for the Vermillion County Fair.
Sunday, featured the sheep, cat, and pet show, as well as a k9 demonstration and the evening rodeo. 4-H members work year-round to prepare and display a multitude of skills and talent. The Vermillion County Fair is a chance to not only display projects and animals but also see others. The 4-H princess and 1st and 2nd runner-up say the fair bring different kinds of people together, making it a great way to build friendships.
“And this being my eighth year, every year is a new experience for me. It’s really just a lot of fun and getting to see everything and the hard work everyone puts in for this week,” said second runner-up, Reagan Bean.
“Yeah, I really love the fair, it means a lot to me to see the community come together and just have fun,” said first runner-up, Dannica Berry.
“What’s cool about 4-H is that over time, everything changes. Whether it be how tall you get, what projects you do, what you don’t do, what interests you, your friends during the fair. I think it’s cool that 4-H, it’s just over time, it’s all one big change,” said princess, Lauren Burch.
Tuesday, June 17th is mud volleyball at the fairgrounds. Bean and Berry says they still need teams and people to come out to support them.
