TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— Thursday evening, Union Health Foundation held its annual Weinbaum and Baur Awards Reception to honor leaders in health care. The event was held to honor outstanding health care leaders whose compassion, innovation, and service have made a lasting impact on the community.
Dr. Vuppala Venkat Reddy won the Weinbaum Award for over 26 years of caring for patients and serving the community. Dr. Amber Cadick received the Baur Award for her work in mental health, physician wellness, and community programs.
“I’m really humbled by it. I’m very fortunate that I work with an amazing group of people who want to improve the health care of the citizens of the Wabash Valley. So, while I’m winning it I really feel like all of my colleagues should be up here with me because it takes a team to do what we do,” Dr. Amber Cadick said.
Money raised from the event went toward helping the Foundation improve health in local communities.
