Last year during New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, more than 900 crashes occurred throughout Indiana resulting in 174 injuries and four fatalities.
In Vigo County, troopers arrested 40-year-old April Neal of Terre Haute and 34-year-old Roberto M. Garcia of Evansville for driving while intoxicated.
In Sullivan County, 56-year-old Timothy J. Scott of Hymera was arrested for driving while intoxicated (controlled substance) with a prior DUI conviction.
Troopers patrolling Knox County arrested 36-year-old Isaac W. Schmitt of Vincennes for driving while intoxicated. Schmitt had a blood alcohol content four times the legal limit.
