TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun was on hand for the unveiling of a mural on the Afterburner Brewing Company building located at 629 South 9th Street on Friday.
John Null is a co-owner of that organization and he said the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and Indiana Small Business Development Center made the mural possible by getting a grant to help pay for the project.
Null said the design is based on a vintage World War II aircraft with a shark-mouth design.
“That building’s been pretty blank,” Null said. “It’s painted in F-16 gray, or it’s close to it as we could find, and people would drive by and wonder what that building is, so now they know.
The mural is complete just in time for the Haute Hops and Vines Festival going on this weekend which Afterburner will be a part of.
Null also said there are still general admission tickets available for the festival with hours from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
