TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — The 12 Points District is having its monthly first Friday event this week.
This is the first time that they are having this event, this year. First Fridays are a free event put on by the 12 Points District on the First Friday of every month. They include music, food, art, and vendors.
This month the theme is Cinco de Mayo. The event chair of the 12 Points Revitalization Board Delilah Rixner said it’s important to have events like this in the area and she’s excited to see it grow.
“I think it’s so important to just have events in 12 Points, especially with our new acquisition of Harmony Hall, we really want to get people involved and excited about the area,” Rixner said. “So I love having these and introducing people to local vendors because I think shopping small is so important.”
The event will take place on May 3 will have 29 vendors as well as a kids zone.
