PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A 19-year-old from Clinton has been arrested after sheriff’s deputies said they crashed a vehicle while under the influence.
According to Parke County Sheriff Jason Frazier, the crash occurred at 4:37 a.m. on Saturday on U.S. 41 in Snake Hollow.
Sheriff Frazier said the driver, Jaysie Guevara, had been travelling along U.S. 41 when her passenger car left the roadway and crashed.
Investigating deputies determined that Guevara had been operating the vehicle while drunk.
Guevara was placed under arrest for operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.15 and taken to the Parke County Jail. Frazier said that Guevara’s bond was set at $8,000 with 10% allowed.
Sheriff Frazier thanked Parke County EMS and the Mecca Fire Department for assistance at the scene.
