TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Update: Terre Haute Police say investigators are currently working around the clock regarding this shooting incident.
When asked for an update, Terre Haute Police Department Public Information Officer Sgt. Justin Sears said they currently cannot release any more information.
“As of right now we are not releasing any further information regarding the shooting as we believe it could affect the investigation,” Sears said. “Our Violent Crime Detectives have been working around the clock gathering evidence and interviewing individuals.”
Original: The Terre Haute Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that injured multiple people.
It happened just before 12:25 a.m. Tuesday at a home in the 1800 block of South Center Street.
“Upon arrival, it was discovered that multiple individuals had been injured as a result of gunfire,” THPD said in a statement released Tuesday morning.
Investigators are looking into the incident but believe it was isolated, adding “there is no threat to our community at this time.”
