CLAY COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO-WAWV) – At about 5 pm Wednesday, Indiana State Police investigated a suspicious subject and vehicle near Cory on County Road 300 South.
ISP says the driver disregarded emergency lights and a pursuit ensued. The Clay County Sheriff’s Department used stop sticks and ISP trooper Caleb Cannon used a PIT maneuver to stop the vehicle, after striking the trooper’s vehicle.
Then after a short standoff, ISP apprehended 35 year old Aaron Krout of Brazil. The suspect was transported to a local hospital in Terre Haute for medical clearance. Once medically cleared, Krout will be transported to the Clay County Justice Center for pending charges.
