Patients meet with Tammy Schaffer Shike, a certified professional life coach, for one-hour sessions to tackle and communicate some of life’s biggest hurdles.
“There are humans that are so concerned with how it looks on the outside that they’re really not taking care of what’s happening on the inside,” said Schaffer-Shike.” “Life is funny and bodies are funny, and so we can only push them so long before there is a stopping point.”
Schaffer-Shike adds, “For life coaching, I work from an action base. So you come in and you’re stuck, however you’re stuck, life sometimes puts us on our heels, and we’re doing the same thing over and over, and we know we’re not happy, and we know we’re not getting anywhere, but we’re really too afraid to take a step because we’re afraid that’s the wrong step.
Life coaching is helping people be better at something they want to be better at.
